As it is very cold we decided we should made some food for the birds. We made pinecone feeders by mixing bird seed, porridge and lard. It was very sticky and messy. Some of us liked the feel of it but others were not so keen. We rolled the bird cake into a pinecone to make a large ball. We also threaded cheerios onto pipe cleaners as a little treat for the birds. We made a bird table to go beside the quiet room window. We hung the bird food onto the bird table and around the Nursery outdoor area. We hope lots of little birds will come and visit our Nursery and enjoy the treats we prepared for them.
