Staff Nurse Clare visits us at Nursery

15th Mar 2018

Staff Nurse Clare (Georgia's mummy) visited us today at Nursery to tell us all about how nurses help us. Staff Nurse Clare has a very special job as she looks after and makes little babies better. She brought in Miss Polly's baby and a box of tools for us to practise being nurses. Some of us dressed in the scrubs uniform, we all used wipes to get rid of all the germs on our hands before touching the babies and put on gloves to protect the babies from germs. We then had to check our babies temperature, heart beat and throat using an ear thermometer, stethoscope and light. We found out that our babies were sick so had to give them some medicine using a syringe and put some bandages on them. Staff Nurse Clare was very kind and left us with lots of her tools to play with in our role play hospital and we all got a special certificate. Thank you Staff Nurse Clare for coming into visit us and teaching us all about the role of nurses.
