On Thursday 20th February we were pleasantly surprised by Szymon's Mum as she provided the pupils and staff of P.6 with home made doughnuts for our break. Szymon, who is Polish, explained the significance of doughnuts in Poland. They feast on them the way we feast on pancakes here before Lent begins. Everyone in P.6 agreed they were absolutely delicious and we were all very thankful for the treat!
