Forest Schools At Nursery
The boys and girls enjoyed another fantastic forest school session. Firstly they set out the boundary flags, recapped on the rules and then started the main activities of the session. They pretended to be a bird and had to look for pink and green worms. They discovered that the green worms were tricky to find and the pink worms were easy to find. Then they listened to a story ‘The Scarecrows’ Wedding.’ Harry and Betty the scarecrow needed some help from the boys and girls to find the items on their wedding list. They worked in groups to complete a scavenger hunt. They had to find some leaves, a twig, a flower, some grass, a stone and a feather. The children then reviewed the session using a happy and sad face picture; most of the children had a happy day. They enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies at the end.
Thank you to our parent volunteers for assisting with the session. We really appreciate your support.
