We set up our boundary flags, recapped on the rules of forest schools and started the main activities of the session. We listened carefully to the story ‘The Best Nest’ and then we worked in groups to create a bird’s nest. We searched for different materials to use in our nest. When finished, we enjoyed looking at each of the very different nests. We had to find an egg to place in our nest which was hidden in the forest area. We reviewed the session with a happy and sad face. Before we returned to Nursery, we enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies.
