Today at Nursery, we did a Winter experiment. We watched 'Olaf in the Summertime' and then we tried to work out what would melt Olaf the quickest. We brought in some snow from outside and split the same amount into plastic pots. We decided to test warm water, sugar, salt and sand. We added one teaspoon of each to the snow and watched what happened. The warm water melted the snow the quickest and the sand was the slowest. We then painted some melting snowmen, like the snow we melted, and we said why it melted. We put on a hat, eyes, carrot nose, arms, scarf and buttons.
