October Forest Friday Adventures at Nursery π³π³
Every week the boys and girls in Nursery have the delight of visiting our Forest school site to connect, learn and play in nature.
Why do we do this every week?
Forest schools can have many benefits, including:
Physical development: Children can improve their gross and fine motor skills, as well as their physical stamina. Social skills: Children can learn to work in teams, and become more aware of how their actions affect others.
Communication: Children can develop their language skills through sensory experiences.
Confidence: Children can learn to be independent and make their own choices.
Environmental awareness: Children can develop a respect for the environment and an appreciation for nature.
Cognitive learning: Children can learn through hands-on exploration and discovery, which can help with problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
Stress reduction: Spending time in nature can reduce stress levels.
Resilience: Children can learn to recover from or adjust to change or misfortune.
