P5 visited Tesco as part of our World Around Us topic ‘The Rainforest.’ We discovered what sustainability means and about the importance of looking after our world. We learnt how bananas grow and the sorts of jobs involved in getting them to the supermarket. We also learnt where cocoa comes from, how cocoa beans are grown and whether it is a sustainable crop. We looked at different companies which support fair trade.
