Primary 4 had a fantastic time visiting Killymoon castle and exploring their WW2 topic further. Our evacuees travelled back in time and were put to work as maids and house keepers. They then enjoyed a tour of the castle and cellars (hearing stories of the American soldiers who were stationed there during the war and seeing the pieces of history that they left). The evacuees then made their way outside to take part in a marching drill. They even had time to see some army vehicles and hold fire arms. A brilliant day had by all!
